STAGE 1 – COMPLETE
We have conducted over 6 hours of interviews with each of the Apollo 8 Astronauts. We have their entire story from birth to present day captured on film.
In addition to interviews we have filmed the Apollo 8 Command Module and other Apollo artifacts from the period.
STAGE 2 – IN PROCESS
Research and acquisition for Apollo 8 photographs and film is still on-going. We will be unable to complete this stage until funding is secured.
STAGE 3 – IN PROCESS
We need funding to acquire all research materials including the full collection of Apollo 8 16MM films from the National Archive. Funding is also needed to hire animators, editing staff, musical composer and sound crew.
STAGE 4 – AWAITING FUNDING
As soon as we get the funding we need to complete the film, we begin editing the film, creating the animations to illustrate the mission, composing and recording the musical score, and readying the film for release to the public.
STAGE 4 – AWAITING FUNDING / POST PRODUCTION
After post production is complete, we release the film to the public, send out copies to our backers and celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of the greatest space missions in history, the journey of Apollo 8 to the Moon.
